My April personal paintout in San Antonio and Leakey, Texas was Incredible! The travel ad photos really could not
do justice to the light, those clear aqua springs and rivers, towering cypress and cliffs, and deer running like
rabbits everywhere! Interesting to note how subtle the hues were when compared to the Keys.
I was indeed privileged to paint with the great people of the Plein Air Texas group, meeting old and new friends
at Fredericksburg and San Antonio's Coppini Art Center.
The following week I taught a workshop in Key Largo for the Purple Isles Art Guild. Another great group of people
who care a lot about art. The class was about painting people. Although oil and watercolor were also taught, the
demos you see below are in pastel.
